Workforce Advancement Training (WAT)
Workforce Advancement Training (WAT) Grants can help offset your customized training costs. Working with your local technical college, Lakeshore Technical College, a business can explore whether a WAT grant may work to meet your company’s training needs. While core technical college programs create an initial talent pipeline for Wisconsin employers, the customized instruction and technical assistance provided by Lakeshore College through WAT grants, promote lifelong learning tied to changing skill requirements. Annually, the State of Wisconsin allocates $5.0 million for local employers and technical colleges to submit competitive applications that support local training efforts through Wisconsin Technical Colleges. The grants can be up to 70% of the labor training cost of an employer with the required match coming from the business. Grants can be written in the amount of $2500 to $200,000 per application.

Wisconsin Fast Forward (WFF)
The objective of the Wisconsin Fast Forward (WFF) standard grant program is to award funds to businesses from all Wisconsin industry sectors that reimburse the costs of customized occupational training for unemployed, underemployed, and incumbent workers. The customized, business-driven training will qualify workers for full-time employment, higher level employment, or increased wages.
